Fighting for Milk?

The Dominant area you are focus to is towards are main character James Braddock who is in the middle of an interview process where a report for newspapers have gather to ask James questions. It’s a low key lighting for in the room its only focus on the people being interview such as or main character James, his wife, and his friend Joe Gould. And as you see the lights coming from the left side giving us a more center focus to James face. Giving the presents that he is in the spotlight. This is a close up shot because we are focused on James since he was asked the question and his response plays a big meaning to what he is fighting for. The camera is close to the actor near eye level. The angle is set to eye level so we can focus on the what James is saying. The dominant color would have to be red for we can see on James’s wife the red coat/jacket and her red lipstick color. Some other colors that stand out would be the skin tone showing a normal yet slightly light brown in James color. While his wife is looking my pale white as if she is not well. Most of the other color fit in the dull and dark to show that they are in a rough time since it is focus on being set in the time of the great depression. It’s just a standard lens is used there is no change that can be seen. After focusing on James, you do look to see his wife next to him. And she appears in focus enough to see is a little uneasy. Would say Moderate because in the scene it focuses is of two people James and his wife and well enough you can just see his wife which shows it’s more to James focus. For you see part of his suit and the fact he is well dress and clean up. It’s divided into two showing a distance on the left side and close up on the right. Where you see that James’s, wife is soft focus because as we can see on her face, she is in support of her husband but is uncomfortable and nervous. Where she doesn’t like what her husband is doing. This is a closed scene inside a room that is very closed off so there is not much light and noise coming from the outside. Tight framing with a little space the character can just barely move around and is just in one spot while they are surrounded by reporters. Its two depths one you got James’s wife in the back. In the front you got just the top part of the microphone and James to show he is the one talking. Being the main focus in this scene. The Characters occupy the edges. I would say that because it’s to show the importance of the two characters and to show the time of year it’s set in since it follows a person going through the great depression. The character is a 3-quarter turn to the camera. Giving us a 3 point of view of his face almost being a profile. Where we see his wife giving us a full front facing the camera.  They are at a personal distance from each other because even though they are married they are in a public space and in an interview process.

Just look at this scene from Cinderella Man and the video can be found in the pervious blog post
